SBI Clerk — Selection Process
The SBI Clerk 2025 selection comprises three stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and (if applicable) the Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT). Both written tests are computer-based multiple-choice papers. There is no interview round for the clerical post, so performance in Prelims and Mains determines final selection.
Stage 1 — Preliminary Examination
The Preliminary test is an online objective exam of 100 marks and lasts 60 minutes. It has three sections and each section is separately timed.

Stage 3 — Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)
If a provisionally selected candidate has not studied the official/local language of the state/UT applied for (in Class 10th or 12th), they must take the LLPT. The LLPT verifies the ability to read, write and speak the local language. Candidates who fail the LLPT will have their selection cancelled.
